Even voorstellen;

Op deze site kan je rustig het werk bewonderen van Mieke en Jan.

Ik kwam heel toevallig in aanraking met digitale fotografie, nadat we (mijn vrouwtje en ik) samen hadden besloten om een spiegelreflexcamera aan te schaffen, zodat mijn optredens iets beter konden worden vastgelegd. Doordat soaps mij niet heel veel zeggen, las ik s'avonds een foto-magazine of doorbladerde ik de manual van onze eerste Nikon D5000 en oefende wat met de instellingen, vanuit de luie zetel, terwijl mijn vrouwtje naar Thuis op Eén aan het kijken was.
Ook op mijn werk was ik blijkbaar niet de enige die passie kweekte voor fotografie, dit bleek al gauw uit de urenlange gesprekken tussen het werk door. (tot groot ongenoegen van mijn baas)
Een korte tijd later zag mijn moeder wat voor resultaat je kan neerzetten met zo'n spiegelreflexcamera en het duurde niet lang of we gingen ook haar op zoek naar een 2de hands body.
Enkele dagen later merkte ik een 2de hands D90 body op met 6000 clicks voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. De aankoop volgde de dag erop, waarna ik onze D5000 doorverkocht aan mijn moeder.

Zo kwamen moeder en zoon uiteindelijk samen op het pad der digitale fotografie.

Wat volgt is hier op deze site te bezichtigen. Sommige uitstappen doen we samen, anderen dan weer niet.
Samen met de Gentse fotovrienden trekken we er regelmatig op uit en wisselen we ervaringen uit.

I accidently came in though with digital photography, after we (my wife and I) decided to buy a mirror-reflexcamera, to be able to photographe my gigs better in the future.
Due to the fact that soap-series don't really interest me, I started to read handbooks and manuals around photography and our first Nikon D5000 camera. I started to practise with it, out of my lazy sofa, while the misses was watching some very interesting episodes of 'one of her soaps she follows.
At work, so seemed very quickly, I wasn't the only one who shared the passion of photography, concluded out of the hourlong conversations we had in between work. (to big dislikes of our chef)
Shortly after, my mom was suprised with the result that one could achieve with a reflexcamera and it didn't took long till we started to look for a second-hand body for her aswell.
A few days later, I noticed a second-hand D90 body with only 6000 clicks for a reasonable price. Buying the thing followed the next day, afterwards I sold our D5000 to my mother.

That is the way mother and son ended up on the path of digital photography toghetter.

What follows next, is to be seen on this website. Some of the trips we do toghetter, others not.
Toghetter with a local photography-club from Gent we go out from time to time to shoot some things or simply exchange experience.
